Tell us a little about yourself
I’m a 31 year old woman who deals with Fibromyalgia since I was 13 years old. I have a personal relationship with Christ and my hope through my severe pain is in Him. I’m exploring the world of writing and I’m waiting to see where that takes me. I’m constantly learning to adapt and adjust to the unpredictability of life.

To learn to accept that there is no standard of normal that I can live up to in this world that others put on me but that I claim a normal that I make for my own life that is pleasing to God. In other words to seek to achieve the spiritual attributes of God rather then the physical that the world tells me I have to be in order to be accepted. I have learned by the grace of God His compassion for others by the need of it for myself. I’ve learned that prayer is a privileged necessity not a luxury.

I love crafts of many types including needlework, knitting (I knit prayer shawls for people), photography, Chinese water color, calligraphy, pencil drawing, some scrap booking, tea folding and card making (ect. ect.). I’ve made ‘Lord is my Shepard bracelets where each color bead represents a part of the bible verse. The truth is, when it comes to crafts I like trying new things.

I spend a lot of time reading and researching. Understanding human/spiritual nature is a big interest for me. In fact I have been told that I should pursue becoming a chronic pain life coach with a Godly approach. I am definitely praying about if God’s will is for me to go down that path. In the meantime I’m learning to trust that He will direct me and open the right door that He needs me to walk through.

My Grandmother and my mother are spiritual mentors to me. I don’t think I would be where I am without them or their prayers in my life. My Grandparents had a ‘mom and pop’s’ style bakery in the 1950 and the craft of cake decorating was past down to my mother. I help when I am able with the business.
I've made many of the wedding cakes that are pictured on my mothers web site at: www.cakesbylindafrolund.com

My Grandfather who past away a few years ago took the role of a father figure since my Father didn’t know how to be a Father and left my family at a young age. I miss my grandfather with all my heart and am grateful for the years I spent learning from Him and working with him in his amazing gardens. He gave me the passion for working hard and bettering the craft of horticulture. With each passing year that my chronic pain got worse he showed me how to adapt flower and veggie gardening on the deck so I can still enjoy the hobby. I can just imagine Him now tending God’s Gardens.

Family is so important in my life and since I haven’t been blessed with my own husband and family I pretty much spoil my three nieces; Hope, Johanna Joy (named after me) and Olivia.

I live a simple life and it’s where God needs me right now. And He gives me the peace to be content with all that i have.
Thanks for taking the time to come and take a look around. I would love to get to know you and all that you offer to this temporary world we call home.

Just know that you are loved
because God loved you first.

Blessings and peace,
Joy

Physcially with my Chronic pain (fibromyalgia) that i have had to deal with since pre-teen years.

QUOTES ON PRAYER

I
have been driven many times to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that i had absolutely no other place to go.
- Abraham Lincoln

"May I hasten to say that the kind of prayer I am speaking of is not a prayer that comes from YOUR MIND. It is a prayer that begins in THE HEART.... PRAYER THAT COMES FROM THE HEART IS NOT INTERRUPTED BY THINKING!"—Madam Guyon

Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tire?-- Corrie Ten Boom

Do not pray for easy lives. Pray to be stronger men. Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers, pray for powers equal to your task. --Phillips Brooks

We hear it said that a man will suffer in his life is he does not pray; I question it. What will suffer is the life of the Son of God within him, which is nourished not by food but by prayer...Prayer is the way the life of God is nourished. --Oswald Chambers

Men may spurn our appeals, reject our message, oppose our arguments, despise our persons; but they are helpless against our prayers. --J. Sidlow Baxter

There is nothing that makes us love a man so much as praying for him. --William Law

Rich is the person who has a praying friend. --Janice Hughes

Prayer is not so much an act as it is an attitude—an attitude of dependency, dependency upon God. --Arthur W. Pink

Prayer does not fit us for the greater work, prayer is the greater work. --Oswald Chambers

PRAYER TO RECIEVE HEALING
Father -
I thank you for sending Jesus to die on the cross to provide salvation and healing for me.
I thank You for the use of Jesus' name which is more powerful than any other name that exists. The name of Jesus is above the name of (name of sickness or diease) that is in my body illegally. In the authority and power of Jesus' name, that (name of sickness or disease) must leave my body.

According to Proverbs 4:20-22, Your words are health to my flesh, and according to Isaiah 55:11, Your spoken Word will accomplish and prosper in the thing it was sent to do. I speak that, in Jesus' name, by Jesus' stripes I am healed according to 1 Peter 2:24, and I believe that I recieve my healing. I thank You that as my Father You love me and have provided healing for me as part of my inheritance.
In Jesus' name, AMEN!

HEALING SCRIPTURES TO CONFESS
Now confess out loud the following Scriptures - do so as often as you need strength and encouragement. Confess the Scriptures so that they apply to you. For exsample speak 1 Peter 2:24 (below) over yourself by saying ". . . . by His stripes I was healed . . . ."

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.
1 Peter 2:24

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.
3 John 1:2

Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows,
yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,and by his wounds we are healed.
Isaiah 53:4-5

My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words.
Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart;
for they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole body.
Proverbs 4:20-22

[A Psalm] of David.
BLESS (AFFECTIONATELY, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless His holy name! Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits--
Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases, Psalm 103:1-3

He sends forth His word and heals them and rescues them from the pit and destruction.
Psalm 107:20

And He went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news (Gospel) of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every weakness and infirmity among the people.

So the report of Him spread throughout all Syria, and they brought Him all who were sick, those afflicted with various diseases and torments, those under the power of demons, and epileptics, and paralyzed people, and He healed them.
Matthew 4:23-24

And thus He fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah, He Himself took [[a]in order to carry away] our weaknesses and infirmities and bore away our diseases.
Matthew 8:17

And behold, a woman who had suffered from a flow of blood for twelve years came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His garment; For she kept saying to herself, If I only touch His garment, I shall be restored to health.

Jesus turned around and, seeing her, He said, Take courage, daughter! Your faith has made you well. And at once the woman was restored to health.
Matthew 9:20-22

And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe: in My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; They will pick up serpents; and [even] if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well.
Mark 16:17-18

Is anyone among you sick? He should call in the church elders (the spiritual guides). And they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord's name.

And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart). The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
James 5:14-16

Joy; you are most precious! Thank you for your loving and gracious words. Your heart shines through them all. I wish I could blow all your pain away and that you would be well. But I know our most loving Lord has a wise purpose in view for all of our afflictions. He truly will redeem it all for His glory and our good if we love Him and remain faithful. Perhaps you are feeling better even as I write. You did not mention your health so I shouldnt assume anything. Anyhow; thanks so much for your lovingkindness Joyful; may GOd bless you truly in every possible way. I havent been writing much at all myself for a couple of months due to working. But I am doing better than before; Praise God; and still have alot of room for improvement. How I need to learn to rest in God! Well peace to your own heart, dear friend; you are a true gift and although your words were few; I felt the love behind them and consider you one of Jesus's special jewels. Be happy in Him and know you are appreciated and loved. Hugs and prayers! PS] Please can you pray for Val? She has a blood clot on her brain after a stroke; some paralysis too. She is 20 yrs old. Needs Jesus in her heart too; I believe. Thanks so much.
