- I am a Sarcoma Survivor! In 2002, I had a wide resection surgery for low grade Sarcoma. In 2007, I had a recurrence of high grade Sarcoma. I had surgery Dec. 2007, radiation March and April 2008 and a big surgery May 28, 2008. The last surgery was at Dana Farber in Boston. I was there a month. They removed half my shoulder blade, all the muscles and tissues from my back, even the skin! I just started moving around this past Nov. 2008. My back has a big hole, my right arm goes up, but not straight and my left arm is limited. I can move from the elbow down on the left arm, but I still can not lift it up or out. I am a people person! I love to laugh and joke. I am married, I have a 13 year old daugher and a 9 year old son. I have been through more than anyone could imagine in my life.
UPDATE: AS OF FEB. 2009, I WAS TOLD THAT MY SARCOMA IS CLEARED FROM MY BACK. ALTHOUGH, NOW I HAVE NUMEROUS METASTASIS ON BOTH LUNGS. THEY BELIEVE I MAY HAVE METS ON MY SACRUM AND PELVIC BONES ALSO. I STARTED CHEMO TODAY, MARCH 6TH, WITH HOPES THAT IT WILL SHRINK AND STABILIZE IT. MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE DOING A FUNDRAISER IN APRIL WITH A DINNER AND RAFFLES. WE ARE HOPING TO RAISE ENOUGH MONEY FOR MY TREATMENTS AND TO GO TO GERMANY FOR BETTER TREATMENT TO PROLONG MY LIFE. THEIR TREATMENTS ARE NOT OFFERED HERE IN THE U.S. PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR ME. UPDATE 4/09: Anyhow, as most of you know already, I am a Sarcoma cancer fighter. I had surgery in 02 after being misdiagnosed, then surgery in 07 and then a big surgery in 08 and nasty radiation. Well, after my follow-up scans in February I was told I have numberous metastasis to both lungs. I did one round of Doxil chemo and my lower back was in severe pain. I had scans done and was told the Sarcoma was in my sacrum and pelvic bones and in several disc up the spine. The pain is being caused from a Sarcoma tumor pressing into L4 disc and impinging the spinal cord and nerves. The oncologist immediately started radiation to stop the disease in the bones. The radiation is supposed to be successful. That is what I have been doing the last 2 weeks. Anyhow, next Friday I do another round of Doxil for the lungs and any other areas that may be infected. The first round was not successful but the oncologist said that most times it takes two rounds before it takes effect. Please pray that it will be successful in stabilizing the disease or possibly shrinking it. Thank you in advance. After Friday, the 24th chemo round I will have new scans done again two weeks later on May 1st and can update you all. I love my online friends. I always have somebody to talk to. I have had my depressed, confused and sad days lately. Although, I want to be strong and fight and win! My online friends that keep in touch with me, though just a few, I really appreciate it. - I need prayers that I remain cancer free and my cancer does not return. Sarcoma is very scary and nasty. It can return to your lungs, liver, etc. Please pray with me that mine never returns! I also had to short sale my home during my surgeries. I have had a great deal of financial struggles. I have been denied disability for fibromyalgia, arthritis, chronic fatigue, drpression and cancer. I need prayers that I can get on disability. My case is in federal court and it is my last chance. If I get denied again, I do not have enough work credits now to reapply, as this has been dragging out for a few years. If I could get on disability, which would be 100% fair, it would help me financially. Thank you all!

My pain has been pretty bad lately. I fell and hurt myself pretty bad, I fell over a cord to the computer hit my head .. big time knot! and think I broke my middle toe!

I got disablity in 2000....
I was denied ... twice, got a lawyer.. went to court to a judge....
and was approved. BUT, still took a YEAR to get my pay!!!
I am praying Father will give you the SPIRIT OF FAVOR.. and that
he would pour his presence upon you...
Father, Rachel is going thru so much, she needs YOUR HELP in getting HER disabilty thru, she is going to FEDERAL COURT< and I PRAY you would minister to the judges, and open their hearts, and let he approved, show them how important it is for Rachel, to get this disabilty to go through. To my PRECIOUS RACHEL.........You are so tender, sweet! i love you so much! God loves YOUUUU so much more!! well, tomm we are going for ANOTHER ultrasounf in Charlotte, NC... about 1 1/2 hours from us!! they believe now he is ok!! at 1st worried he was NOT growing enough.. and, Dr. Patel wants to send us to Womens Inst. and they have so much more equipment, they do HIGH RISK preg... and so, we will go thru there, I just think he might be xmlaer, he is 4 pds 10oz... right now. and she has about 5-6 weeks to go!!! she said he could gain a pd a week, so we are BELIEVING my grandbaby will BE NORMAL AND FINE!!
how you doing honey?? I am in alot of pain in my back/hips/legs... but, taking my meds helps some and resting, but, being UP in there today, thru me in a tailspin.. adn I have been hurting pretty bad!!!
